The Hawkesbury Triathlon Club is based in the Hawkesbury River Valley that includes the towns of Richmond and Windsor.
This area is the largest Local Government area in the Sydney Metropolitan region, NSW Australia, covering approximately 2,800 square kilometres.
Hawkesbury City extends from the Cumberland Plain in the south and east to the beautiful foothills and majestic escarpments of the Blue Mountains to the west and north.
Flanked by five rivers (Nepean, Hawkesbury, Grose, Macdonald and Colo) and featuring a number of historic towns, more than 70 percent of the Hawkesbury is National Park including World Heritage listed wilderness areas.
With an estimated population of over 66,000 and growing, Hawkesbury residents and visitors to the area enjoy the region's magnificent rural and bushland settings, its vibrant cultural life and thriving economy..
The area provides great opportunities for racing and training in a scenic and safe environment that allows athletes to enjoy quiet roads in either flat or hilly terrain.
