A HTC social day has been organised for Monday 26th April, which is the public holiday for Anzac Day.
The impetus for this came from discussions between a few HTC members over coffee after last Monday's "Easter Challenge Fundraising Tri" at the Regatta Centre, as we contemplated what we could do to celebrate the upcoming birthday's of Chris Cameron and Paul Lalor which fall on the same day! and we've come up with an event to which I'd like to invite you all:
Several kayaks, beginners to advance level craft will be avialable for us to use at a social paddling day at the Penrith Rowing Centre located on the Nepean River at Weir Reserve, Bruce Neale Drive, Penrith [Google 'Where is Bruce Neale Drive'].
We'll also have our aluminium tinny there, to use for rides as well as a safety vessel, so bring along friends, family, children, swimmers and towels, blockout and hats, a blanky and a picnic lunch, totem tennis, cricket and tennis sets, pet rocks and anything else you can think of for some fun, aquatic frivolity and an excellent way to celebrate Anzac Day!
If anyone has access to some lifejackets, it would be greatly appreciated if you could bring them along please. The paddling will start at 10am, but several of us will be there at 8am to do a run first [around 10km's] so please feel free to join us for that too.
If you're able to come along and share in what will be a great day for all the family, please let either send us an email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it so we can get a rough idea of numbers.
We have recently posted results and race reports from the March Club race, Ironman Oz 2010 and the Western Sydney Triathlon Clubs Easter Sprint challange. A photo gallery has been added for Ironman and the Easter challange as well.
